August 8

Ashton

A driver pulled over on Highway 20 when a boulder hit his windshield. 

A vehicle ran off the road at Fishermans Drive and tore up the front bumper and under carriage. 

Possible vandalism over the weekend was reported on Main Street. Glass was shattered, possibly shot out.

An arrest was made for battery on Main Street.

A civil standby was requested for a business on Highway 20 for a disgruntled employee to come pick up his or her stuff.

A 10 year old boy was attacking his family on 5th Street. 

Island Park

A vehicle hit an ATV on Highway 20.

A man asked to press charges against a woman who offered sex for housing in Pinehaven. He reported she had also broken into his home last winter.

A welfare check was called for a 40 year old woman who had left her cell phone at the AirB&B.

August 9

Ashton

A vicious dog was reported coming out on the Ashton Tetonia trail. 

An arrest was made for a DUI at Upper Mesa Falls.

Police were called for an aggressive dog on Fremont Street. The caller said the dog is always off leash and has tried to kill his dog three times. 

Island Park

A vehicle hit an elk on Highway 20.

An arrest was made for possession of a controlled substance. 

Police were called out to help with a homeless person at Box Canyon Campground.

Three black angus cows were loose on Highway 20.

August 10

Ashton

Construction cones were knocked over coming East to West on Main.

A man was reported walking down Highway 20 staggering a bit. 

An ambulance was called for a 73 year old woman whose side hurt to the touch with possible blood clots. 

An RV headed south on Highway 20 was driving 45mph in a 65mph zone causing a traffic jam.

Some children were seen at an abandoned home on Walnut Street with their bikes.

Someone hit the side of the post office at night.

Island Park

Cows were outside of the fence by Meadow Creek Road. 

Someone dropped off a family with very young children at Drift Lodge with all their personal belongings. The person paid cash and left them with no vehicle and stranded. 

A free-floating raft with coolers and life jackets on board was seen at Island Park Reservoir. 

A welfare check was called in for a vehicle pulled off the side of Highway 20. Two kids were in the front seat and a woman driver was hanging partially out of the car possibly either sleeping or unconscious. There was also stuff thrown out of the vehicle. 

August 11

Ashton

Someone reported a black ford pickup parked outside the Ashton Living Center facing the front of the building for the second time in a few days.

Cows were reported loose on Highway 20.

A man was parked on the side of Highway 20 with a broken-down car pulling a small camper. The man was trying to wave down traffic in the North bound lane.

A citation was issued for possession of a controlled substance off Highway 20 and the Mesa Falls Highway. 

Island Park

A vehicle hit an elk on Highway 20.

Extra patrol was requested by Henrys Lake Drive due to heavy traffic with no regard for the speed limit including ATVs and motorcycles.

An arrest was made for reckless driving on Highway 20.

A vehicle was going 90mph on Highway 20 near Osbourne Bridge.

An arrest was made for possession of a controlled substance on Highway 20.

August 12

Ashton

An arrest was made during a traffic stop on Main and 4th Street.

A man in a purple mustang brandished a handgun at a Depatco truck on Highway 47.

Island Park

Extra patrol was requested by North Big Springs Loop road due to ATVs and 4 wheelers spinning donuts and speeding in the roadway.

An ambulance was called for a drowning child at Big Springs Water Trail.

Police gave a verbal warning to someone shooting for 45 minutes on Johnson and Rasmussen. 

Someone broke into a yurt on Green Canyon Road and vandalized one of the doors.

Police were called to help a business on Old Highway 191 who had a previous employee steal a till and take his check. 

Someone called concerned for individuals camping near Johnny Sacks Cabin due to there being a mom moose and her 2 calves in that location.

August 13

Ashton

Police were called to help with drivers speeding around construction zone going 55mph in a 35mph zone on 3700 E. 

Three horses were found on Highway 20.

Flooding was reported in Marysville. 

A rollover accident happened at Highway 32 and 1200 North. The vehicle was on its side and a woman stated she was in shock.

Pigs were reported out on the road trotting around on Highway 32.

Island Park

A welfare check was requested for a man headed North before the library sign who was headed to Big Sky. The caller told police he didn't seem like a good person.

Police assisted a driver of a car and trailer on the side of the road near Last Chance and Ponds Lodge.

August 14

Ashton

One brown cow was reported out on Highway 20 and 1100 North.

An accident was reported at North Fremont High School.

Police were called for a domestic at Timberline Golf Course. 

Island Park

Officers were called to Rancho Mccrea Road for threats and equipment sabotage. 

A truck was reported driving all over the road on Highway 20.

A welfare check was called for a woman on Meadow Creek Road who did not show up for a meeting and wasn't answering phone calls or texts.

An ambulance was called to Lakeside Lodge for a woman in her 60s who fell and hit her head. The woman had a 2 inch gash on the back of her head.

Tenants at Elk Creek Estates took a neighbors wood off his property.

August 15

Island Park

Someone reported a car with headlights on and possible screaming coming from inside on Highway 20.
