  December 5 Ashton An ambulance responded to a home on Highland for a Covid patient who had recently been to the hospital. Police were called to the Ashton ITD meeting for a resident, possibly drunk, causing an issue. Island Park An accident occurred near Phillips Lodge on Highway 20. One vehicle struck another while trying to pass. Someone reported a dog on the side of Highway 20 with a harness on. An ambulance was sent to a residence in Swan Avenue for a welfare check. Police and an ambulance responded to the death of an 87-year-old woman. December 6 Ashton Madison Memorial Hospital reported a dog bite of a patient from Ashton.  Someone hit a dog by Tri State Tire. The vehicle had damage and the dog ran off. A slide off was reported near Fall River Electric. An accident was reported on Highway 32 on Fall River Bridge blocking both lanes. A semi hit an SUV.   November 28 Ashton Two slide offs were reported  Island Park A road and bridge grader backed into an EMT's truck parked at the EMS shed. November 29 Ashton An arrest was made for resisting and obstructing at a residence in Chester.  Island Park A husky dog was reported right off Highway 20 wearing a blue harness.  November 30 Ashton A slide off was reported on Highway 20. An accident was reported when a driver pulling out of the travel plaza hit a semi and hit his or her face on the steering wheel.  Island Park An accident was reported on Highway 20 when a car ended up in the ditch. A slide off was reported on Highway 20 when a vehicle spun in the snow on the embankment and onto a burm. December 1 Ashton An accident was reported at North Fremont High School Three slide offs were reported.  Island Park Three slide offs were reported. A 13-year-old girl didn't get off the bus at her stop. May have gone to a game at the high school since she had argued about going that morning.

Heather Barnes out of Rigby will travel to surrounding areas, including Ashton, with her mobile dog spa to do nails and grooming for owners. Barnes, who has always loved animals, loves being able to spend time with different animals she helps care for and loves teaching owners how to properly groom their pets to keep them not just looking good but also feeling well and healthy. "My goal is to have a pet to have silent paws walking as being able to hear their nails on the ground or curling over is not only annoying but also very uncomfortable for them and can cause internal damage to the toe," Barnes said.  One of the hardest things in the business for Barnes is trying to get owners of pets to understand just how important grooming is for their fur babies.  "It is not only my responsibility but also theirs t
