July 5 

Ashton

An arrest was made for driving while possessing on Highway 20. 

The boyfriend of a woman on 1300 North called police from Salt Lake City that he thinks she may have shot herself.

A vehicle ran someone off the road while headed north up the Ashton hill. 

A vehicle was all over the road and changing speeds between 50 and 80 on Highway 20.

An arrest was made for driving while possessing on Highway 20. 

Someone called police to tell them a vehicle was riding his bumper. 

July 6

Ashton

Someone turned in a wallet at Jacksons Food Store.

A traffic complaint was called in for a truck with a camper headed North from Chester.

Police conducted a welfare check on a man on Henrys Lake Road when his brother let police know he had expressed suicidal thoughts and had not checked in for treatment like he said he would.

A welfare check was called in for a couple living in a 5th wheel not suitable for people to live in on Quakie Lane. The caller told police the couple has cancer and there was a gas leak that was fixed and they want to see what can be done to help them.

Police assisted police in Montana for a 2 vehicle non injury accident just south of the 87 junction.

Search and Rescue responded to a call from Riverside Campground and Mesa Falls for a man who was balled up on the west side of the river who didn't respond when yelled at by people on a float trip down the river. 

A request was made for an officer to come to a location on Yale Creek Road before an altercation happened between brothers. 

A man was beating a dog on Highway 20 and Last Chance Shell Station.

July 7

Ashton

A civil standy was called out at Boothill Church to keep the peace. 

An ambulance was called for an 80 year old woman who had fallen early in the morning and wouldn't get out of bed due to extreme pain.

A noise complaint was called in at the Opera House Bar for loud music. 

Island Park

A moose or elk that had been hit on 87 was in the middle of the roadway.

An ambulance was called for a 54 year old man having a heart attack on Lariat Road

Someone was shooting off illegal fireworks on Overlook Drive for 3 nights in a row and had caught a rose bush on fire. 

An ambulance was called for a 68 year old man with chest pain with a history of heart problems having arm pain and difficult breathing on Holden Loop. 

July 8

Ashton

A vehicle headed North from Ashton passed in a construction zone and was speeding. 

Police helped a person headed North requesting traffic assistance while he helped a small motor home. 

Police helped someone who locked keys inside a van on Highway 32.

Minor vandalism possibly from a BB gun hitting a window on Main Street was called in. 

A report was filed against a driver driving recklessly on Highway 20.

 An ambulance was called for a 70 year old woman who had a UTI a week earlier and was having symptoms again after taking all the medicine for it on Goat Street.

Police conducted a welfare check just south of Macks Inn area on Highway 20 for an elderly lady walking with two bags.

A vehicle hit an animal at Macks Inn. 

An arrest was made for having an open container on Thorn Road.

A vehicle hit another vehicles mirror at Springhill Suites. 

July 9

Island Park

Police responded to help a person in the Icehouse Creek Subdivision who forgot the gate code and needed someone to go and lock up the gate.

Police responded to Snake River Road for two wave runners flipping and riding too close to the docks for the past 2 days.

An ambulance was called for a 6 year old girl whose mouth started bleeding and burning at Elk Creek Station.

A vehicle hit a deer on Yale Kilgore Road.

Someone was cutting firewood between Ponds and Elk Creek and loading it into their truck. 

Ashton

Police responded to Warm River Campground for a group of 10 who were causing issues near the campground. The camp host had told them to leave but they refused and are supposed to be there all week. 

July 10

Island Park

A truck was driving recklessly on Highway 20 driving at high speeds about 90mph and passing unsafely going into oncoming traffic.

A tree was down on a powerline on Bills Loop South Road. 

A shredded tire was in the roadway at Macks Inn.
