August 16

Ashton

A vehicle was unsafely passing other vehicles on Highway 20 causing others to have to pull over to the side of the road. 

Police assisted a driver broke down on the side of Highway 20.

An ambulance was called for a 71-year-old man having a heart attack at the Ashton Travel Plaza. 

August 17

Ashton

An ambulance was called for a woman in her 80s who fell in the bathroom and may have hit her head at the Ashton Nursing Home. 

Someone walked out of 511 without paying.

An arrest was made for reckless driving on Highway 20. 

Island Park

Two men with flashlights were caught by a woman going through her vehicle late at night on Grandview Road. She yelled at them, and they took off. 

Someone hit a cow in a Razor ATV at Old Shotgun Road and Green Canyon Road.

A vehicle was reported going 100mph and passing on the double yellow line on Highway 20. 

A 51-year-old man about to go through a divorce threatened suicide on S Chief Joseph Drive.

August 18

A garage blew up on Moose Creek Street.

An ambulance was called for a 1-year-old boy with a high temperature having seizures at Elk Creek Station.

A vehicle was passing in a construction zone on Highway 20. 

August 19

Island Park

Too many people were reported at a location on Pine Cone Drive. The owner, who was renting the residence out, told police there's only supposed to five people but there are more than that at the residence and he wants them evicted. 

Ashton

Bank fraud was reported at 1100 North.

August 20

A trailer went off the road and slid into a ditch ending up on its side at Henrys Lake Drive.

August 21

Ashton

An ambulance was called for four people exposed to bear spray being sprayed at Warm River Campground. 

A 23-year-old man was reported missing from a residence at Cedar Lake Lane. He was last seen by Ora Bridge with a blue ebike. 

Police responded to an 18-year-old man not conscious on Highway 20. 

A horse or donkey was reported on Highway 20.

A man called in missing hikers at Bitch Creek. He told police 24- and 41-year-old women were hiking with him and he lost sight of them 40 minutes earlier.

Hikers were reported missing at Lower Mesa Falls when they were three hours overdue starting from Lower Mesa Falls. The caller told police no other hikers had seen them, but they had seen a black bear on the trail and had 2 dogs with them.

Suspicious circumstances were reported on Fish Creek and South Big Springs Loop Road in refernce to a camper.
