Ashton

Traffic was backed up halfway up the Ashton hill headed South. People were driving too fast and unsafely.

A brown chocolate lab was reported loose at Spruce and Highway 20.

Island Park

A group of adults with children were burning their trash outside on Yale Creek Road. 

A girl in a pickup truck was reported sitting on the fog line on Highway 20, possibly broken down, on her phone, with her hazards flashing.

September 6

Ashton

A diesel truck was reported stopped on Highway 20 with no flashers or hazards.

A death was reported on 3700 East. 

An accident was reported on Highway 20 when a truck went off the road.

Island Park

A man reported seeing something in the river down from coffee pot rapids on drone footage he shot over the weekend.

A man tried to get into a hot tub at a cabin in Island Park that should have been vacant at the time. 

A black cow was reported on Red Rock Road. 

Two people were reported at a cabin in Centennial Shores walking down the side of the house and onto the back deck.

September 7

Ashton

Police were called for a child at Ashton Elementary School.

A vehicle was reported not maintaining speed or lane driving on Highway 20. 

A vehicle hit a deer on Highway 32. 

A 2x4 was blocking lanes of traffic on Highway 20.

A woman locked her keys in her car at the Ashton Nursing Home.

Two girls were caught stealing at a business on Main Street.

Island Park

A cow was reported on Highway 87. 

Someone reported a fire in a fire pit. 

A business requested extra patrol by them on Highway 20 due a man sleeping outside their business in a sleeping bag after being told he couldn't stay there. 

September 8

Ashton

Police were called to Ashton Elementary for a child.

Police were called to North Fremont High School for a tobacco violation. 

Lightning started three aspen trees on fire in Squirrel Creek.

Island Park 

An arrest was made for reckless driving on Highway 20 south of Macks Inn. 

Someone reported their neighbor was burning copper wire or something with a chemical smell either inside or outside their house at night on Lupine Lane.

Somone siphoned all the gas from a construction site on Websters Drive.

Cows were reported out on Highway 20. 

A vehicle was reported passing on the double yellow line near Ponds Lodge.

Someone was burning garbage with 10 feet tall flames on Eagles View Road.

Two ATVs were stolen on Blue Creek Road.

Cows were reported out on Highway 87. 

A large fire was reported at a residence on Mangy Moose Street. 

September 9

Ashton

Someone may have broken into the Ashton flea market sometime during the night.

Island Park

A black cow was out on Red Rock Road.

September 10

Ashton

A possible wreck was reported on Highway 20. The person reported seeing skid tire tracks going off the road and new trees laying over at the top of the Ashton Hill.

A DUI was reported on Highway 20 at a rollover accident.

After kicking out a tenant, an owner of a residence on 3100 East reported finding paraphernalia while cleaning.

Aggravated assault was reported when a man shot at another man in the parking lot of Lakeside Lodge.

Cows were reported loose and tearing up someone's property on Websters Drive. 

September 11

Ashton

A semi was reported broken down in the northbound lane on the Ashton hill. 

Island Park 

Cows were reported out on Red Rock Road and Henrys Lake Drive.

An ambulance was called for a 74-year-old man motorcycle rider with a broken leg on Red Rock Road. 

A vehicle went off the road on Highway 20.
