September 26

Ashton

Someone reported 6-8 cars racing toward Ashton from Highway 32.

An arrest was made for inattentive driving for a vehicle on Highway 20 unable to maintain its lane and swerving to the right side of the road. 

An ambulance was called for a 40 year old handicapped man to be taken to the hospital for kidney stones on Pine Street. 

A fire call was called in on Cave Falls Road. 

Island Park

Threats were made via phone call from an ex in Montana to someone on Old Highway 191 who wanted his old furniture moving pads back.

An ambulance responded to a 72 year old man who fell in the bathroom and needed help getting back up.

An ambulance responded to a 55 year old woman with Covid feeling bad with back pain and pain on her right side.

Four black cows were out south of the ranger station.

September 27

Ashton

Someone reported almost getting into a head on collision with a semi headed south on the Ashton hill. 

An ambulance responded to a call for a man in his 40s who fell by Warm River.

Someone drove into the construction site on Railroad Avenue.

Island Park

An arrest was made at Lakeside Lodge for possession of a controlled substance.

A semi traveling north on Highway 20 was pushing people off the road and unsafely passing.

A vehicle hit an elk on Highway 20. 

Extra patrol was requested on Yale Kilgore Road in the Shotgun area when 18 wheelers were going through the area at a high speed. 

September 28

Ashton

Petit theft was reported at Jacksons Food Store.

A vehicle hit an elk on Highway 20. 

A black flatbed utility trailer next to someone's property on Highway 87 had been parked there for over a month. 

An arrest was made for a DUI on Yale Kilgore Road. 

September 29

Ashton

A truck was tailgating headed south on Highway 20. 

A truck on Highway 20 was not maintaining its lane and speeding.

A brush fire was called in by the southbound lane of Highway 20 on the right side of the road.

An ambulance transported someone from the Ashton Medical Center in raspatory distress.

Cows were reported out by the Ranger Station. 

Someone parked trucks and dump trailers and equipment on property near the Soda Shop without permission.

Police helped someone in Shotgun Village who had water leaking from where the foundation and floor meet when nobody was home.

Someone reported a car in a ditch with its flashers on across from the Forest Service building.

Someone staying in an Air B&B reported the lights were on and the door open when they returned to the residence.

September 30

Ashton

Cows were out south of 1100 North off Highway 20.

Someone called in a suspicious person on Highway 20.

Island Park

An unknown man walked in on guests staying on a property on Mountain View Drive and began yelling someone's name. When the guest yelled at him he apologized and left.

A truck driver sleeping in a pullout off Highway 20 reported a car with very loud exhaust fired a gun.

A semi passed a car and then slammed on his breaks headed North on Highway 20. 

Two men wearing suits were reported trying to flag down vehicles on Highway 20 and tried to follow someone to an ATM for money. 

Three black angus cows were reported out by Highway 20.

An owl with a broken wing was reported off Sawtelle Peak Road.

An ambulance reponded to North Big Springs Loop Road for a 74 year old man short of breath and sick to his stomach who had eaten some Morelle mushrooms two hours earlier. 

October 1

Ashton

A welfare check was requested for a woman's children staying with their father on Spruce Street. The woman told police she hadn't heard from them in days which is not normal and the father has PTSD and guns in the house. 

Island Park

An arrest was made for possession of paraphernalia at Elk Creek Station.

Someone fishing in Pinehaven reported someone was shooting ducks and peppered his dad with gun shot. The fisherman tried calling out to the shooters but they ignored him. 

An ambulance was called for a 4 year old boy with a 105 degree temperature.

An ambulance was called for a 5 year old boy having extreme headaches who had just had surgery a month ago.

October 2

Ashton 

An ambulance was called for a man who fell down the stairs and was bleeding from the nose and mouth and unconscious at Three Rivers Ranch. 

A suspicious person was reported on 1200 N. The caller reported a transient tweaking at the intersection. The caller said the person was freaking out and running through the road saying something about someone kicking him out. 

Island Park

Cows were reported crossing Highway 20.

A possibly intoxicated driver was called in on Yale Kilgore Road.

A vehicle hit an elk on Highway 20.

Fire was called in for a fire in Pinehaven.
