Little Promises Education Support

Since moving to Idaho from Texas and having lived in many different states I have felt like the state of Idaho doesn't put much importance on education. Teachers are so underpaid and overworked. They need so much more than what they are provided by the government in order to properly instruct our children. In addition, children are now much more difficult to deal with and teach and yet no extra help for teachers seems to be given.     However, in Governor Little's latest state of the state address he did make promises to help in the education sphere and I am so thankful for what if offered to our schools and teachers from the state. I still believe there needs to be more but it's a start.     First, he addressed giving money toward early literacy education. This has been a benefit for the past five years and will continue this coming year as well. The money is used in Fremont County to fund all day Kindergarten classes as well as curriculum supports and extra staff in Kin

1 Corinthians 1:2

I am a part of a family of Christians around the world. We have been set apart from other humans and marked by God as His. I want to get a tattoo that shows this somehow. But the mark is on my soul, not my body. I'd just like something I can see to remind me. We follow Jesus. We listen to the Spirit inside us. We were born once here but then again from heaven.  Dear Heavenly Father, Search me and show me areas in my life not pleasing to You. Help me to live a godly life in Jesus. Help me to submit to the Spirit inside me. You have a mission for me...I think right now it's to be a mom to these two special boys...help me to do this and give You any and all praise. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen

The Gift of Unhappiness

People who do what is right may have many problems, but the Lord will solve them all. - Psalm 34:19 I struggle with depression and it's chemical meaning its not caused by anything around me or outside of myself. However, when I have a bad episode the thoughts that take over boil down to me feeling I'm not enough, I'm a failure. I long to be more...and maybe that's because God has so much more planned for me?  All of the pain and hurt and loneliness in this world. The wars. Deaths. All of it...it's not all there is. There is so much more beyond this! We long for that beyond. Whether we know it or not our hearts long for it. Money will never be enough. We can never get enough love from others. Nothing here on this earth in this human physical body of ours will ever truly satiate that longing inside. For we were meant for so much more than this. I don't belong here. I feel off and awkward and unreal because I AM! I am a stranger here...This is not my home and I wil

From Dream to Reality

" What should young people do with their lives today? Many things, obviously. But the most daring thing is to create stable communities in which the terrible disease of loneliness can be cured."  Kurt Vonnegut     Wheels and gears have begun turning for the building of a community center for Fremont County residents and the Fremont County School District. Jeff Gold, who heads up the group working to get this built, hopes to break ground this coming fall in the field just north of South Fremont High School in St. Anthony if everything goes as planned.     "While it's not necessarily a need for free and appropriate public education, it is something that definitely be used once we have the facility in place," Fremont County School Superintendent Byron Stutzman said. "It would be a great asset."     The center would include multi-use flooring and could be used for running, walking, soccer, baseball, football, air rifles and archery activities with drop d
